The Computer Room Modeling and Data Display Based on Three Dimensional Visualization
Abstract: This paper introduces the computer room modeling and data display method based on 3D visualization technology, proposes the overall architecture and function architecture of the Three Dimensional Visualization computer room, and depicts the panoramic display of 3D computer operation monitoring from four aspects such as 3D monitoring visualization, 3D assets visualization, 3D wiring visualization and 3D statistical visualization.
1. Introduction
The computer room monitoring mainly includes power distribution, UPS, air-conditioning, fire protection, security, water environment and dynamic factors. The application of 3D visualization technology in the computer room monitoring will help to enhance the computer integrated monitoring and operation ability and improve the level of information management of computer room.
2. Research Background
2.1 3D Visualization Technology Overview
The 3D virtual reality simulation technology brings a new concept of human-computer interaction, new content and method. The new method and the interactive content are richer, more natural and harmonious, especially with more images.
2.2 The Demand of 3D Visualization Computer Room
It can accurately summarize room hardware equipments information, operation information and computer room environment monitoring information and visual presentation in virtual environments to make maintenance and management from the way which is artificial passive to computer centralized control and management model.
Through 3D visualization technology it can enhance the computer room equipments, facilities and data visibility and improve the utilization rate. It can provide the basis for decision making for daily management and monitoring system of asset management, project approval and construction. It can perform the fixed asset position through the spatial distribution and improve the reaction speed to the management of fixed assets data. It also can strengthen the engine room resource management, realization of assets using monitoring and tracking cycle and improve the operation level of monitoring system.
3. The Project Design
3.1 The Overall Architecture Design
Through a combination of communication resource management system, communication management system, power, environmental systems, security systems, various business systems, it develops a set of information visualization and computer room aided management system based on 3D visualization, 3D visual monitoring platform, IT asset visibility management, wiring visual management, statistical visualization management module.
3.2 System Architecture Design
The visualization operation assistant management system for a computer room actualizes four functions such as Three dimensional visual monitoring platform, asset visualization, wiring visualization and statistical visualization. Through a combination of system data form resource management system, communication management system, power, environmental systems and security systems, it improves the system of visual analysis and display function.
4. Function Realization
4.1 Monitoring Visualization
4.1.1 Equipments and Facilities Visualization
It can achieve precise positioning of the visualization management and computer room equipments, facilities of physical location. The 3D virtual reality gives a visual display to computer room equipments, installation, dynamic environment and other ancillary facilities and implements real time monitoring and alarm data show. It also can achieve a 360 degree angle adjustment. In the three-dimensional scene, the user can view real-time to the current operating parameters, working status and alarm information.
4.1.2 Fault Alarm Visualization
When the monitored object has a fault, the alarm event can visually display the corresponding effect on the interface. The gradient color values are convenient for the user to monitor temperature distribution simulation and discover regional hot spots in the room.

In the 3D scene, it can realize linkage with other two-dimensional monitoring system.
4.2 Asset Visualization
4.2.1 IT assets hierarchical display
In a 3D environment house area, cabinets and equipment classification can be directly shown by clicking the mouse on the realization of room.
4.2.2 Space Availability Statistics
Through the sub region of the computer room, cabinets, equipment classification browse, it can make dynamic statistics available about computer room space.
4.2.3 Electricity Distribution Statistics
It is combined with the dynamic and environment monitoring system in the computer to electricity distribution statistics.
4.1.5 Temperature and Humidity Distribution Statistics
Computer room temperature and humidity distribution statistics are with dynamic environment monitoring system data.
4.2.5 Computer Room Bearing Distribution Statistics
It can demonstrate computer room bearing distribution.
4.2.6 Equipment Alteration Exhibition
When the shelf equipment physical location changes, the equipment position automatically changes based on the change of database.
4.3 Wiring Visualization
4.3.1 Link Visualization Management
In the 3D visualization platform, it realizes the connection status display link in the computer room.
4.3.2 Port Visual Management
In the 3D visualization platform, it realizes the equipment port management.
